Thanks to the Internet and its endless resource of ideas I feel so much more creative than I actually am.
They are very easy to make. I first broke Styrofoam packing peanuts into small pieces and layered them in the bottom of each teacup for drainage. After the succulent was planted, I topped the soil with moss, although, I like the look of plain soil too. Tiny rocks will also work to cover the dirt if a more arid look is wanted.
I'm pretty pleased.

Oh they are so cute. What a beautiful gift. I'm afraid I'd want to keep them all for myself though.
Those are really cute!
Cute! I have a bunch of tea cups in a box somewhere. I'll have to give this a try.

What a great idea, and they look beautiful in the window.
Those are ADORABLE! I always see teacups in the thrift stores. I want to buy them, but I'm never sure what to do with them. Too cute. I also wanted to let you know I'm having a giveaway this week on my blog and would love for you to stop by if you have time. Thanks!! :)
Those look GREAT. I love the contrast of a succulent or cactus with delicate china cups.
=)
So pretty! What a great idea.
That is beautiful!!!!
I love them in your window sill.
LOVE IT!
I love it!
I tried something similar last year only I did it in the kind of soup mugs that look like big bulky tea cups and put flowers in them on a stump in my backyard. I have a bright yellow teapot in the center that I keep water in to water them and they have a piece of red check table cloth under them. I'm looking forward to trying the styrofoam this year. I bet that will work better than the pebbles I used. Thanks for sharing!
What a beautiful way to repurpose those lovely tea cups.
These are beautiful and I love the cups! Thank goodness for finding good things on the internet. Thanks for sharing!
