This is why I blog. It is my history. My family's history. It is my photo-journal. My life.
I was SO EXCITED to open a package from blurb recently with a book I created of the first year of my blog. I have always been a keeper of memories and I've tried to capture them in photos for as long as I can remember. Sometimes I wish I had the mental capacity to replay life's events with picture-perfect clarity, detail, and color just by willing it so--a flashback sequence of the best moments whenever I want to reminisce.
For now this book will have to do.

I love it! I recently blurbed and I can't tell you how much that book means to me. Unfortunately, it is only 2010, now I have to get working on 2011. How many pages did your book turn out to be?
Awesome! There's something satisfying about a tangible object for all the work you put in. What a fun read for you all.
I've done that too!
Blurb books are beautiful. Kind of slow in the process, but the end result is beautiful....I have quite a few, now. It's a main reason why I blog, as well.
I love it!!!!
Such a cute cover and so cool.
I have done three of them so far. I print from July to July (it was July 2008 when I started blogging)
My kids don't read my blog but they love looking through the book when they come home.
Ya, that's the best reason to blog.
FAMILY!

I need to do that! Think of all the history I would lose if blogger lost all its data or something atrocious like that...
I really need to do that. I keep putting it off. LOVELY!
I make books out of my blog, too. So far I have a dozen.
=)
I use blog2print, and they are some of the most popular books in the house!! Since I'm HORRIBLE about journaling, and I've fallen off the face of the earth with my photo albums, this is the next best thing!!
I love the white cover you chose! I did a pale green for my first year and a maroon for my second year. I'm a little behind and have 2010 and 2011 to do still... Aren't they so nice? I love mine! That's why I blog too! :)
Me too!
My husband printed my first 2 years at Christmas. I still need to catch up with 2010 and 2011.. but soo much happened in that time frame.. I still want to go back and write about.
Journaling happiness!
Yay!! I also booked my first two years and love it! I learned about this whole booking the blog thing from reading blogs and I am soooo thankful for that. I absolutely love my book and I'm going to make it a yearly thing from now on.
It is a beautiful book, Julie. You will treasure the memories that it preserves.
That's a great memory book! I love that idea.
What a brilliant idea, Julie!!
I love it!
Julie, that is so fabulous! Good for you! I really need to get my stuff together and publish mine. Did it take a really long time? Oh I just love this, and it's one of the reasons I blog too!
My kids love our Blurb books. It's the best part of blogging!
Such a good way to chronicle your history! Love it!
That's so awesome! I want to be YOU when I grow up! Okay maybe by next year I will have a full year's worth for a book! I can't wait!!!!

That's just awesome! What a neat idea!
Congratulations!! I bet you will especially love all those beautiful pictures you took while in Italy!1
This is something I have been wanting to do with my blog. Because my blog really is a journal for my family. Reading about yours has inspired me to start checking into getting my blog put into a book.
Great idea! I have been blogging since 2008, and I have never formally published any of my posts.
This is on my to-do list for this summer since my classes are over. I have never done it and can't wait to hold a book in my hands that has so many memories and lots of love.
Just stopping by to wish you Happy Birthday! Hope I'm not too late. Beautiful family, beautiful blog, beautiful you. May the next year be filled with more of what makes this so.
oh my gosh!! this was my plan all along too! I am so happy to see you actually did it!!!
What an amazing idea! This is why I blog, too. Not to be famous or end up with my own TV show, but just to remember, and to help my kids remember. Love your blog!
Tell me more of your experiences with Blurb. Do you suggest I do it? I don't think all my posts are worth keeping in a book.
Hi, You have a lovely family! Greetings from England.
