Stubble and Stuff

This was the highlight of my week--getting Brian home--stubble and all. I didn't even mind (too much) kissing those prickly things when he walked in the door.
He and three other leaders had just spent a week in the Uintas with eleven 14 and 15 year-old boys, and I missed him!

These captures from Brian's iPhone show how absolutely gorgeous it was. They camped at Island Lake.

(Travis is 6th from the right and Brian is behind the "camera".)
They hiked, played games, jumped off the cliff into the lake, caught fish with their bare hands, weathered thunderstorms, and had a GREAT time. Brian is convinced he needs to take me there next month--just the two of us. He has it all figured out.

As for me, I'm just glad the man is home--stubble and all.

What a gorgeous place! Yes. You definitely should go see it for yourself with your him. I admire the good men that sacrifice vacation time and being away from home to go on these adventures with our young men. I've enjoyed your last several posts. Especially your Hawaii posts. Thank you so much for sharing!

A good man to be there serving these young men. A set of these spoke today in church, it was so good. :D

I know my boys had a great time. Thanks to Brian and the other leaders for taking them. I don't blame you for being glad to have him home. I feel the same way when Greg is gone. Any way to send the YM and keep the leaders home? Didn't think so!

Glad they had a great time~ and glad he's back!
Love the pics. The Uintas are so pretty. My family used to go camping there every summer when I was a kid.

That is beautiful.
I can't imagine how much fun those boys must have had.

Stubble. Ya, it's OK that they bring that home.
It's just great having them home isn't it?

Tis the season for husbands to come home with stubble. It's a good thing, the coming home and the stubble.

so awesome! Your husband sounds a lot like my husband... traveling for work and going camping with the Scouts... he does it all and still has time for me. I'll take the stubble too :) Glad Brian and Travis are home safe. Zeke and Gabe just left this morning....

Glad he's home with you now! Looks like a beautiful place to visit, picnic, hike and take pics and then go home to your shower and bed. :) Can you tell I'm not a camping girl?

Looks like such a great trip! My hubby's stubble has gotten gray now and I love the way it looks but I hate the way it feels! :) But no doubt, after being apart...you don;t mind the prickly kisses!
